Adult Church School Classes

Looking for a Sunday School Class?  The descriptions of each adult class listed below offer an overview of the general focus of the classes, each of which welcomes new members at any time. You may contact any of the class coordinators for more information. All of these classes are held in classrooms located on the east end of the church near the back parking lot.
NOTE: Some classes take breaks during parts of the summer months. Please check with class coordinators for their schedules.

Contemporary Faith: Meets in Room N-120 after the 9 am service. Lynn Kiehne is the coordinator.

What This Class is About: The class features an opportunity for lively discussion about contemporary faith issues.  Many of our series have accompanying DVDs featuring short presentations that help to focus our discussions.

This year we have a full schedule of topics for reflection and discussion.  To date: Jan. 15 - Mid Feb.: Jim Wallis, America's Original Sin: Racism, White Privilege and the Bridge to a New America (6 weeks, beginning in Jan. 2017)

Mid - Feb.: C.S. Lewis - Screwtape Letters


Faith-Filled Families: Meets in Room S-100 after the 9 am service. Dennis Zuercher is the coordinator. 
What is This Class About: Young, single and married people who meet to discuss Christian life, God's direction and current issues that are unique to them.
Jan - Feb: We will continue our study on decision-making using various books in the Bible.
Feb - May: Beginning 2/19, we will begin a 12-week study about Christian character.

Faith Journey: Meets in Room S-202 after the 9:45 am service and Beth Houghton is the coordinator.

What Is This Class About: This class has interesting discussions on the Bible and featured books.

Westminster Class: Meets in Room N-123 at 9:45 am. Marilyn Mulcahy is the coordinator.

What Is This Class About: Monthly speakers who present classes on books of the Bible, current topics, and featured books. Lively discussions occur but one's oral participation is optional.

Jan. 15: The Book of Job led by Lynell Bell

Jan. 22 - 29: The Bible that jesus Read by Philip Yancey, DVD presentation and discussion led by Marilyn Mulcahy.

Feb. 5 - 26: A Study on the Pastoral Epistles led by Richard Abbott

Mar. 5 - 26: John Reppert will lead the class this month.

April 2 - 30: The Bible That jesus Read by Philip Yancey. DVD presentation led by Marilyn Mulcahy. Continuation from January.
